Magsafe 3 in 1 Wireless Charger
The guys over at Moderno Collections - sent over one of their Premium Magsafe 3 in 1 Wireless Charger for me to road test and see what I thought of it, and here’s my review.
First off, Moderno Collections are an independent online retailer of accessories for Apple products ranging from cases for iPhones and iPads, replacement straps for the Apple Watch, or charging stands for Phones and Watches.
The Premium MagSafe 3 in 1 Wireless Charger has space for a MagSafe enabled iPhone, your Apple Watch and a wireless charging pad for AirPods.
In the box the charger is packaged with a USB A to C cable - and charging brick and a MagSafe ring allowing older MagSafe but wireless charging capable phones to work with the stand. The charger feels solid in construction, there is a good weight to the base giving confidence nothings going to tip over.
The supporting arm for the Watch charging pad has a built in night light feature, which is a nice touch. The light has 3 different brightness settings none are overly bright but good enough to fumble around the night stand in the middle of the night looking for something.
The chargers base, includes a second USB port on the rear (USB A), which is a pass through charging port for other devices.
When connecting your iPhone to the MagSafe charging pad, there’s a strong and reassuring pull, and charging instantly starts. The charger can support charging to iPhones with a case up to 2mm thick.
The charger is equipped with intelligent fast charging.
15W output for iPhone 12, 13 & 14 series.
5W for Apple watch.
3W for the AirPods.
All three charging points can be used at the same time, I plugged the charger in to a smart plug, and let my HomeKit routines and Siri Shortcuts handle charging the phone, and turning it off when full, whilst at the same time topping the watch battery up. Your phone can be placed in either landscape or portrait, but give great viewing angles to watch videos or make a FaceTime call whilst the phone is charging.
Overall a good addition to my ever expand Apple ecosystem accessories and one i’d miss having around when I stay in a AirBnB as everything so neatly and conveniently charged.
